Features the Polo Grounds (1880-1963) with manager John McGraw and infielder Al Bridwell.
About the Player
Manager McGraw knew how to get the best of his players. Take Al Bridwell, for example. The three years that Bridwell played for the Giants were by far the most productive of his career. After joining the team in 1908 his batting average shot up from .218 to .285.
About the Series
“Getcha Scorecard! Scorecards! Can′t score da game widdout a scorecard!” Who can forget those gruff but lovable characters from the ballparks of our youth? This Helmar series pays homage to these men and the humble scorecards that they peddled (little pencils were a nickle extra). We continue to push the boundries between cards, art and fun! These are the first cards that you can actually play with. Each puzzle has one gaming side showcasing a popular player while the backs are our imagining of the perfect scorecard for the team. Round, 2.5' diameter. Embossed brass and glass two sides. Getcha Scorecard!
