About the Series

The early 20th century saw the rise of the devil-may-care adventurist. These hardy souls defied obvious danger in the pursuit of pushing technology-and fame-to the limits. Many paid with their lives. Helmar has captured the spirit of their times in this cabinet series in the hope that these individuals will inspire you as much as they have inspired our art. True to the period, the images are produced separately and have been pasted to a colorful, ripple-edged backing.
