Of the twenty New York American League players in this series seven appear as Yankees and thirteen as Highlanders. A full eleven cards depict Hall of Fame members. Frank Baker, the great third baseman, has two (card #410 and #419); Jack Chesbro also has two (#35 and #523). Chesbro's teammate Wee Willie Keeler has three cards, all attractive (#44, #355, #397). Later era Hall members include Waite Hoyt (#448), Lou Gehrig (#394) and two for Mickey Mantle (#350 and #393). There is no Babe Ruth card. Other interesting subjects include Hal Chase (#518), Benny Kauff (#119) and Slow Joe Doyle (#529). The two Mantle cards significantly exceed price results of the other subjects; card #350 is favored over #393 by an extra third in value at this time.
