Baseball competition was fierce in Brooklyn--at the turnstiles, at least, if not always on the field. The National League club, known over time by many names including the Superbas, the Robins and the Dodgers, was the most popular team. The Federal League fielded a team for both the 1914 and 1915 seasons. Other Brooklyn teams included in the Oasis series are the Brooklyn Royal Giants and the Brooklyn Eagles. Both were Negro teams. The Brooklyn Eagles were established in 1935 and merged with the Newark Eagles. Fourteen cards in this series represent Brooklyn players.
