The Phillies of the early twentieth century were not known for big name players. However, in the Helmar T206 series we do note that five cards of the twenty-seven total depict players that made it to the hall of fame. These include two cards of Grover "Pete" Alexander (#17 and #27), the tragic Big Ed Delahanty (#411), Hughie Jennings (#403) and Kid Nichols (#15). Aside from the big names there are plenty of other interesting players. Harry Coveleski, the brother of the hall of famer, is card #173. Red Dooin has three cards, including a popular one with the famous Peggy the Dog (#186). Eddie Grant, the gallant athlete-soldier that died in the forest of France in WWI has two cards, #184 and #179. Sherry Magee is a notable and has card #151. The outstanding and under-remembered Cy Williams is found on card #332. The Alexander card #17 is one of the few really difficult cards to acquire in the series. There are four copies in circulation. Kid Nichols is another of the early cards in the series and has nine in circulation.
