The White Sox were World Series Champions in 1906 and 1917. They competed in but lost the 1919 series. Twenty Sox players appear on Helmar T206 cards including three hall of famers on five cards. They are: Eddie Collins (card #14 and card #559), Jocko Conlan (#342) and Ed Walsh (cards #67 and #542). Cards of two players from the 1919 team are popular: Joe Jackson (#42, #416, #308) and Buck Weaver (#8, #353, #440). Unsurprisingly, the Jackson cards are the three best preforming at auction (in this order: #42, #416, #308). The #8 Weaver, however, nearly matches the least performing Jackson. The two other "guilty skunks" from that team do not seem to be drenched with the perfume of notoriety. Cards of Chick Gandil (#375) and Eddie Cicotte (#424) seem to garner only average interest.
