The four "Brooklyn Royal Giants" cards make an interesting subset to either a Brooklyn collector or a collector of Negro League/Black Ball cards. Auction results for the great hall of fame catcher, Louis Santop (card #53), may show him bringing nearly double the price of any of the remaining players but he is hardly the only fascinating personality. Grant "Home Run" Johnson (card #315) drew hall of fame consideration and enjoys a great narrative. Walter Ball, the great pitcher that predated the organized Negro Leagues, was said to have once won forty-eight straight games for the Chicago Union Giants in 1905. He is card #352.
